Air Water Inc. is pleased to announce that Air Water Vietnam Co., Ltd. (President: Miyoshi Naoki, hereinafter referred to as Air Water Vietnam), an Air Water Group company, established a new general gas filling plant in Ha Nam province, near Hanoi City, to be the second of its kind in Vietnam. The plant will begin operation on October 1.
1. Overview
In 2014, Air Water Vietnam established a liquefied gas manufacturing plant for oxygen, nitrogen and argon and general gas filling plant in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu province in Southern Vietnam, near Ho Chi Minh City, and the plant has supplied the products to its neighboring Japanese electric furnace manufacturer through piping and sold various types of industrial gas to the manufacturers located in Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding areas by using lorry cylinders. Moreover, in 2016, the company opened a sales office in Hanoi City in Northern Vietnam and has been expanding sales of industrial gas.
Benefitting from the increase in the population and steady economic growth in Vietnam, the industrial gas market has been expanding. The government is taking the initiative in inviting foreign investment, especially to the Hanoi Metropolitan Area, positioning Vietnam as an alternative production base to China. As a result, an increasing number of companies in the automobile, electronics and other fields have established operations in the area.
Under these circumstances, Air Water Vietnam established the general gas filling plant for industrial gas in Ha Nam province as its second business site in the country, aiming to expand the business in the Northern Vietnam area. In addition, the newly established filling plant will be equipped with the company's first helium filling facility to be installed in an overseas site. By establishing a stable supply system, the company will continue expanding its market share in the region.
While further solidifying the industrial gas business foundation in the region through the establishment of the new filling plant, the company plans to construct another liquefied gas manufacturing plant on the plant's premises in the future.
Air Water Vietnam will improve the stable industrial gas supply system to cater to the continuously growing demand for gas in Vietnam, contributing to the country's economic development.
