Air Water is pleased to announce that Air Water India Private Limited (Managing Director: Kazuo Michitani; hereinafter "Air Water India"), its wholly owned subsidiary, has decided to construct a new cylinder gas filling station, which also serves as a transit station for tanker transportation, near Faridabad, a Delhi suburb in northern India. The Company has also established the Gurgaon Office as a sales and service base in the northern area. The filling station started construction in June, and scheduled to commence operation in December 2023.
1.Purpose
Air Water India's businesses are currently being developed under the basic strategies of winning new projects for on-site gas supply for steel plants and building supply chains through expansion of business infrastructure, including manufacturing, logistics, and sales. By doing so, we are expanding our industrial gas business in India.
Air Water Group did not have a gas supply base in the northern area near New Delhi, the capital of India. However, that area has become a manufacturing industrial center. Demand has been growing, especially for industrial gases for use in welding in automobile manufacturing. The Company will revise its current long-distance transportation from the eastern region by preparing a cylinder gas filling station aiming to promote transportation efficiency. At the same time, it will expand its business areas by responding to new demand, and strengthen market development in northern India.
This new Gurgaon Office is Air Water India's fourth office in India, following the Kolkata Head Office in the east and the Chennai Office and the Bangalore Office in the south. Gurgaon is a business city, located near New Delhi, the capital of India. For this reason, the Company is seeking to strengthen its relations with customers and government agencies.
Moving forward, Air Water Group will contribute to India's economic development as a business partner that continues to develop together with the growing Indian economy.

The Indian government established the goal of increasing its crude steel production capacity to 300 million tons, more than double its current level, by 2030. In addition, given the further growth of its economy and a rise in population, demand for industrial gasses in India is expected to remain strong.
Air Water India has been operating on-site supply businesses for large steel plants in India's leading steel companies while simultaneously engaging in a bulk and cylinder business in the eastern and southern areas of India. This enables the company to build a strong position as an industrial gas manufacturer in India. The company is also constructing a new liquefied industrial gas manufacturing plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, a state situated in southern India, aiming to start operations in October 2024.
