Technology development in response to the needs of the client

Coal tar extracted from coal through high-heat processing, contains useful chemicals called aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene and naphthalene. Isolating and refining these compounds and making them available as material for a variety of industrial applications--that was the fountainhead of the Chemical Company's operations.
We have conducted research on valuable chemical compounds unique to coal resources and have provided the market with a broad range of products by applying innovative technologies.
Most recently, the Company has been supplying pharmaceutical makers in Japan and abroad with various intermediates for anti-cancer drugs. Also, in the area of electronics, we are delivering semiconductor materials, semiconductor sealants, etc. The Chemical Company is committed to technological development that is speedy and at the same time challenging, in order to satisfy social needs in a wide range of areas as they arise, by making maximum use of the company's distinctive strengths in resources and technologies.
